Rangmalhar 2017- Bicycle Recycle

Every year Rangmalhar is celebrated by artists all over Rajasthan,India, to welcome the season of rain and pray to rain GOD ‘Indra’ for his grace.

In 2017 the theme of this event was -Celebrating 200 years of Invention of bicycle. I was a part of the group of more than 100 artists from Jaipur. Each artist decorated one bicycle with her/his individual skills and strengths. And later we took the bicycles on the roads to show the public of our efforts.

This bicycle is 100% Upcycled. I purchased different parts from a scrap dealer, assembled them and decorated with paper fabric and paper yarn.
